I was a commercial producer for 10 years, and during that time the Olympics were held in Australia (where I am was at the time).
The event encouraged all clients to have a "Big Olympic Sale" or "Run In For Big Savings" or "It's a Marathon Sale All Weekend".
We were required to decline anything that even slightly suggested a connection to the Olympics, including "We're Torching Prices"...
What a nightmare it was.

Ah-HAH! Or should I say AH! OOH! AHH! That would explain how well y'all knocked off all the HB properties in Channel Chasers. That was an expo of styles, behind the madcap storytelling of FOP. Twice, I wrote down all the shows it spoofed, and both times I left out several, it went through one or two while I was writing. Timeless. I watch it every time it's on. Speaking of time it's on, is there a reason you can reveal here why FOP's schedule has been cut back so drastically? I get 4 Nick channels, and it seems they've all been overrun with crabs, starfish, and the occasional underwater squirrel.

I thought it was OK.....some of the running gags were a bit over done. By the way.....can ANYONE tell me why Veronica, Tootie, Blonda, Elmer, Sanjay, Remy, Chester, AJ, Trixie, Vicky, and Tad and Chad have barely/have not shown up this season AT ALL?! The "same four people" scenario is getting a little tired.

I agree with Megan's points. I wish also then Trixie's hidden tomboy side will return and Tootie should discover then the grass is greener elsewhere. I'm one of the rares fans who like the idea of putting Chester and Tootie together , Tootie might be the only girl who don't give the hives to Chester. (I can imagine Vicky how she could react "NOOOO!!!! That twerpette should date that twerpt! My plans are ruined!!! I also wish for a return of Norm the Genie and I still dream of imagine a crossover between FOP and Wayside or KM (Kappa Mikey). Trixie and Mitsuki might learn about each other hidden personnality side (Trixie's hidden tomboy side and Mitsuki's past in the KM episode "La Femme Mitsuki" as well as the time she's disguised as a student in the KM episode "Back to School")

Back to the olympics moment, it's too bad there wasn't a olympic special crossover featuring the HB characters versus the Filmation characters (Fat Albert, Groovies Ghoolies) or the DFE (DePatie-Freleng) characters, just imagine what might have been ;-)

A friend had sent me a copy of the half hour special since Fairly Oddlympics hasn't aired over here in the UK, good thing she did because I would had imploded from Anti-Fairy withdrawn symptoms, hehe :).

As for the episode itself, there's only one word that could describe it and that's 'genius' -- now wait that's decribing Anti-Cosmo. Can't think of a work to describe the episode, knowing my luck it'll come to me just before I go to bed. Any-who, I found the episode fairly amusing and I got a kick out of the Friday the 13th pizza, I like mine with cheese stuff crust mind you.

The running gags got a few good giggles out of my but what made me really kick off was the swimming event, that scene made me snort juice out of my nose at least once. There's two people I feel sorry for, Wandisimo for being burnt to a crisp and Anti-Wanda for getting a poor score on her dive, that was a perfectly good canon-ball in my opinion.

Overall I found the episode very amusing although I was upset that it was only a half hour episode and not an hour as I first thought, I'll give this Olympic special 7/10. Here's hoping you'll do something similar for the 2012 games :).

Oh by the way, you should do more live action endings, I find merging real live footage with animation very effective and I heard the ending got a few laughs out of it.

more anti-cosmo ^^ his life is a sad exsitence the guy who keeps trying to destroy fairy world but can't, while cosmo keeps doing it by accident :P
