Plus, the title cards give me an idea for what the characters might look like if the whole show was 2D, which is handy for drawing art of them in my spare time.

Funniest thing though, while surfing nick.com, I caught a clip of the "Trading Day" ep and it had a 2D (Flash) animated commercial in it! That really took me by surprise! ...In a good way, of course.

Re: Frederator Studios Blogs | Fanboy and Chum Chum | “Brain Drain” Title Cards

Thanks Racattack! I love these title cards that Steve Lambe has done for the show. There is something about seeing Fanboy and Chum Chum in 2D that makes me laugh. Everything we do on this show starts off 2D so why not start off the show with these awesome 2D title cards.

Re: Frederator Studios Blogs | Fanboy and Chum Chum | “Brain Drain” Title Cards

Glad you like the cards RF. We agree with you on the title card thing, so we've included them on all of our cartoons since 1992; I kind of like the 'retro' feeling. And since most TV cartoons have dropped them for 30 or 40 years, they're not really retro at all, but modern and fresh all over again!

Re: Frederator Studios Blogs | Fanboy and Chum Chum | “Brain Drain” Title Cards

Beautiful artwork on that title card. Seems like less and less cartoons these days have real title cards like this.
