What I don't understand is how they slipped (or fought their way) in? Mary Blair was Walt Disney's favorite designer, yet "girls are not considered for the training school"? I have a wonderful friend, Madelyn Davis, who was one of the co-creators and writers of "I Love Lucy," and her book chronicles her difficulty in getting into writing during the early '40's. She said that if it weren't for WWII (and so many of the men being drafted), she might never have gotten the chance to show what she could do.

Re: Frederator Studios Blogs | Channel Frederator Blog | S’No White

Not surprising.

The equal rights act and "Equal Employment Opportunity" weren't established until the 60's. There's a reason they had to be established.

Re: Frederator Studios Blogs | Channel Frederator Blog | S’No White

"For this reason 'girls' are not considered for the training school."

That is amazing. In a bad way.
