I can't wait! This is gonna be the next big show since Spongebob!

...although I REALLY liked the other style. This is great nonetheless!

You've gotten the Jeff Smith (and by default, Walt Kelly) look down solid.

I totally wasn't expecting such nicely detailed BGs for this show, but I have to say that I like it very much!

Looks epic, and adventure-y! I love the background design!

These are great! The world will help drive the narrative in a new direction!

How did the property move from Nick to CN?
  • Eric Homan · 1 year ago
Nick had the option to produce an Adventure Time series for a year and a half after the completion of the short. They decided not to pick it up, and their option expired in October of last year. We began pitching it to Cartoon Network and they gave it the official greenlight on September 17. It sounds simple, but, as you can imagine, it felt like forever (nearly two and a half years from the completion of the short to the pick-up).

It looks awesome, the short was totally math. Where can I see the Bravest Warriors?
  • Eric Homan · 1 year ago
Dude, "Bravest Warriors" will be on Nicktoons Network sometime in January.

    Awesome.

I totally dig the new BG style. This Pat McHale you speak of is the board artist from flapjack right?
  • Eric Homan · 1 year ago
    The very same.

In which case, will he be moving exclusively to Adventure Time, or work on both shows at the same time.
  • Eric Homan · 12 months ago
Both Pen and Pat have been off Flapjack and solely on Adventure Time for a while now.

I liked the simple BGs, but this is looking rather snazzy, too! The second one has a really lovely palette but in both the left side looks pretty exceptional (nice tree to throw off that negative space.)

I'm gonna have to go with beautiful. Though I do like the backgrounds from the Adventure Time short, the details and colors in these two pieces are brilliant. It's very vibrant without being "in-your-face" and that's what I dig about it.

The *second* one is definitely the algebraic'est!
